sometimes we all need to do is stop. breathe.
take a glass of water
and daydream
sit still. pray
and continue to wait for Christ.

i reminded myself of this today (due to my wife).

sometimes it is nice to go back into your record collection and find the music that helped you connect with God. It may sound out of date. It might sound weird but sometimes it just reminds you of a time when God's grace and mercy.

Shane & Shane's Upstairs and Switchfoot's Beautiful Letdown are two albums that bring me back to when my faith first got its footing. Both of those CD's were a huge encouragement to me then, though I wouldn't get caught blaring "Meant to Live" anymore these days.

I completely have begun to re-appreciate old cd's. sometimes I can get a really clear visual of something I was doing when I hear old songs, and the worship music is awesome because a lot of the time it was either a big moment or just a simpler moment. also, Reid, don't knock Switchfoot. My youth group was going to start a band, and that was one of our practice song. We were gonna make big changes. With Switchfoot's song.
